Hey all :)
It’s Jordan again!
This post is going to be about my everyday eye makeup. While I do love to put lots of effort into my eye makeup, sometimes you just don’t have time!
My favorite palette is the Covergirl Eye Enhancers 3 Color Kit in “Shimmering Sands”.
It creates a sort of nude natural light smokey eye.
Here’s what I do:
1.) Prime eyelid with your favorite primer (I use elf mineral eye primer)
2.) Sweep the middle color all over your lid
3.) Put the lightest pink shimmery in the “beauty spot” which is a little larger than the inner corner of your eye.
4.) Using a Flat eyeliner brush, gently pat the darkest brown into your crease and a bit above.
5.) With a fluffy brush buff the lines together to create a “fade” effect.
6.) Finish with normal eyeliner and mascara
It sounds like a lot, but it only takes about a minute when you get used to it.
Hope you enjoy! And have a wonderful day :)

SURPRISEEEEEEEEEEEEE !
Last night, Kelly came down the stairs and into my apartment bearing gifts! She surprised me with the E.L.F conceal set!! (what a pal). I am so excited about this set because it includes the zit zapper (the one she reviewed), a concealer brush, and concealer. As you can see, the packaging is so cute and at $3.00, this is a great little gift. Thank you Kelly!

It's one of those days
The sun is NOT shining and I’m exhausted
I woke up this morning with a case of the “Mondays” :/
But! There’s no need to fret…
Dressed in my boot cut jeans and my favorite hoody, I’m comfortable and ready to take on all my classes. Lucky for me, my 8AM class was canceled and I was able to go to breakfast. Sometimes dressing down and eating comfort food just feels good. Take at least one day this week to dress however you want, eat like it’s your last meal… and don’t feel guilty! Fabulous girls are allowed to take a day off!

Skin Doctor: Lemon Trick
Hey everyone!
My name is Jordan. I’m Kelly and Lynn’s friend and also a blonde on a budget! I’ll be a guest contributor on their blog from time to time on primarily beauty items, as I am a freelance makeup artist!
Have you ever just stood in the face wash aisle and stood in awe of how many options there are for exfoliators? I have to. And I have never found one that I truly liked until this one.
Here’s what you need:
Cotton round or ball. Lemon juice (fresh or from a bottle is fine). White Sugar.
Here’s what you do:
(remove makeup first)
Warm up face with warm water first to open up your pores.
Take a cotton round or ball.
Saturate your cotton with lemon juice.
Sprinkle sugar on top of it.
Then scrub all around your face in a small circular motions. Concentrating in the areas where you may have more acne or blackheads.
Then rinse your face off!
The acids in the lemon juice contains AHA’s and BHA’s that help remove dead skin cells and kill bacteria. The sugar also removes dead skin cells but also softens your skin. Yay!
If you have sensitive skin, you can use an orange because it’s less acidic than a lemon.
I recommend doing this about 3-4 times a week.
(yes, I did learn this from guru Kandee Johnson)

Getting the precious chemicals off of my face
I have been blessed with pretty good skin on my face, I rarely have pimples and if I do, it's like one or two. Lately however, I HAVE been getting more pimples and my face has been a bit weird looking... I realized that it's because I'm not properly removing my makeup. My friend Jordan told me about the ELF (watch out, we're going to feature ELF a lot!!) makeup remover cleansing cloths and I LOVE THEM. When I slide one of these little beauties across my face I am impressed when I see the amount of gunk that it picks up (I know that's gross but OH WELL). My face looks better, I don't get out of the shower with raccoon eyes, and they were only $3.00.
The only issue I have is that they make my face greasy... my skin is naturally very dry so I guess that anyone with oily skin would be even more oily after using these. The greasyness is not a big problem because I shower or wash my face after using the cloths, but for someone who just needs to remove a of bit smudged makeup might want to look at a dryer product.
Regardless, I LOVE THEM!

Our favorite Nail Polish !!
Lynn’s favorite: Essie brand nail polish! I am absolutely obsessed with all things “Essie”. The bottle that the polish comes in is adorable and the polish applies smoothly to my nails and makes them nice and shiny! I’m a huge fan of the color pink and Essie has a zillion different pinkish colors to choose from.
Essie nail polish can be purchased online at http://www.essie.com/products/ or in stores like Ulta and Sephora.
These little beauties can be pricey at $8.00 a bottle.
**blondes on a budget tip: check the clearance section of Ulta for half priced polish… (I recently bought a very pale pink Essie polish and paid $3.50!!!)

Kelly’s favorite: OPI brand nail polish! I first became hooked on OPI nail polish when the lady who does my nails Dana let me take one home and try it. Personally I have always been a “Pink and White” acrylics kind of a girl, but I gave it a shot anyways. Not only did I love how much pigment there is in every color (which removes the need for a second coat) but each color goes on so evenly! If you go to your local ULTA beauty store you can find almost every color imaginable for any occasion.
***blondes on a budget tip: Typically priced at $8.50 these little gems are usually either “buy one get one 50% off” or “buy 2 get 1 free!” There is no reason why you should ever pay full price for these colors with the discounts being offered at ULTA. At SEPHORA they carry their own line of Sephora by OPI which are just as good but are rarely on sale like those at ULTA are.
Do you have a favorite nail polish brand?? Tell us which brand you love and why… we would love to hear from you!

Outfit of the day!
Kelly and I (Lynn) were shopping around target the other day, skimming the clearance racks when I spotted two tank tops. One top was super gray/dressy (you'll see it later.. maybe) and the other top was a sheer fabric/red flowy tank. Both tanks we're under $10!!!!
Today I decided to rock my red tank with a chunky belt, skinny jeans, and a little black sweater. It was 66 degrees with clear skies and this outfit kept me cool and comfortable.
Moral of the story... shopping clearance is totally worth it
